Why do we really need to learn

Fusion dance is very easy to start

No required skills, no limits, just some basic understanding. Leaders need a little more knowledge than followers, but it's still very easy: one could just come to a Fusion party, spend some time looking at the dancers and join the flow.

Then why not keep dancing the same way?

Just copy something you see, maybe take some short classes before parties occasionally. Watch some reels from time to time, and soon one could get a feeling of being experienced. Some dance like this for years. But this is a dead end.

The dance is a conversation

Fusion starts simple, and even a complete beginner is able to dance with professional to mutual pleasure. Fusion is a lot about expressing own personality. Compare it to a first coffee cup dialogue with a stranger: it's interesting in the beginning, but could become boring later if you don't find common points of interest.

That doesn't make Fusion complicated

Don't be scared at this point, noone is required to learn all these at once. Fusion is a way to grow gradually and smooth, without strict levels or borders between grades. There's no rush and no competition. Choose any skill and work on it, learn step by step, take different classes, learn from other dance styles and techniques.

But at the same time, don't be confused by its simplicity. If you would be stuck on the same level, those who you dance with will soon get bored of the repetitive conversations. Fusion is also about constant improvement and grownth. And that makes Fusion interesting for all grades, from novices to experienced as there's always something unexplored or something new to add.

Keep learning and improving, and you'll never get bored. Neither you, neither your partners.
